We are very proud to go live today with our newly designed EngageMedia.org website. We’ve been busy working hard in the last two weeks at our sprint in Athens building on weeks and months of preparatory work in the back end. Huge congratulations to the whole team! The major focus of the gathering was to discuss the impact of videos made for social change. As such, we looked at impact indicators, assessments, and various new ideas.

Some notable examples of how video has empowered Indonesians in the push for rights and good governance.

In early 2013 the video4change network began a research project in collaboration with MIT’s Center for Civic Media and Open Documentary Lab to explore the impact of Video for Change, with a focus on the approaches prevalent in the network.

Karmadi is one of the most active participants of the Crossroads project, and he contributed a video for the DVD compilation – ‘Terabai’. He works as a sub-contractor for a construction company and lives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
