Travelling Projector in Majalengka

We screened 12 films that night, with films mostly about migrant workers. Everyone in the village, young and old, attended and even the head of district came over! After some simple food and tea we began the screening and held a discussion after.

Arnold Ap (1 July 1945 – 26 April 1984) was a West Papuan leader, an anthropologist, a cultural icon, and a musician. He was the leader of the Mambesak group, and curator for Museum Universitas Cenderawasih. He broadcasted his cultural shows on weekly radio.

On 24 and 25 March, 12 2014, Indonesian videomakers met in the city of Yogyakarta for first Video4Change regional gathering in South East Asia. The first global Video4Change gathering also took place in Yogyakarta almost a year ago.

Crossroads: The Journey So Far

Crossroads is an EngageMedia-first initiative in Klang Valley, Malaysia. Through a series of workshops, we are working with migrant workers, refugees and stateless people (MRS) from Indonesia, Nepal and Myanmar to produce short advocacy videos of their respective situations in Malaysia.

Video4Change Indonesia Gathering: The Process

On 24-25 March, 12 video activists from Jakarta, Bandung, Cilacap, Cirebon, Purwokerto, and Jogjakarta came together at the first Video4Change gathering in Indonesia to share their experiences in making videos for social change with a focus on impact.
