Papuan Voices in Myanmar

It’s 8pm in Yangon, and the roads are still packed with people rushing home. In a comfy room in the Pazudaung Township area, at the office of Equality Myanmar, EngageMedia staff were preparing to screen the Papuan Voices II collection to a Burmese audience for the first time.

Crossroads in Blitar: A (Still) Valid Dream of Prosperity

A Weekend of Crossroads Screenings with the Nepali Community in Malaysia

Over a weekend, our partners KOMAS held two screenings of ‘Here to Help’, one of the advocacy videos from our Crossroads collection on migrant rights in Malaysia. The film tells the story of a young Nepali man who gets his hand cut at the factory he works at, and how he struggles while seeking compensation.

Applications Open for the SEA Video Camp in Myanmar

EngageMedia is pleased to announce a Video Camp for Southeast Asian filmmakers in Myanmar this June. The camp is aimed to be a space for Burmese video and filmmakers to meet, interact and collaborate with video and filmmakers from the rest of Southeast Asia.
